Eigashima adopted the word Kamitaka (literally God Hawk), which represents the concept of courageous justice and messenger of peace, as their official symbol in 1895. It is based on the tale of a Japanese sea captain who witnessed a hawk flying around their vessel's mast during a dangerous mission, a symbol which gave his crewman hope during troubled times. Kamitaka is the official whiskyfor the distillery White Oak and contains 30% 1nalted barley / 70% Com. Hogshead caskfor 3 years. White oak cask for 2 years. 5 years in total. Tasting Notes:

Colour: golden yellow.Nose: light, delicate, strong presence of cereal, touch of orchard fruits with a hint of honey.Palate: mellow, strong and powerful, slightly spiced. Very well balanced, it off ers a nice aromatic range between malted cereal,orchard fruits (mostly peach) and notes of almonds, raisins, camomile and sherry, creamyand melting in the mouth.Finish: long, spiced, tannic character.
